Description

The highest peak in the contiguous United States, done right. The overnight approach to Trail Camp lets you acclimate at 12,000ft and summit with a light pack at sunrise. Far more enjoyable than the brutal 22-mile day-hike push. Watching headlamps snake up the 97 switchbacks in the pre-dawn dark, then catching sunrise from Trail Crest with the Sierra dropping away in every direction, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
